I thought Mike Adams moderated the old Scout board.
This was well after Mike… this was the dying days of the last board.

This is in no way an "I told you so," but watching him in the minors..it just seemed like a rush job. Fk the trend...develop the player. He's got talent but he needed time. I said it then..and now. He'll be ok though.
AjSS continues his bad start to this season. Gotta wonder if the braves broke him by rushing him
These are the Atlanta Brave prospects who have baseball cards in 24 bowman.
Bowman Prospects
BP-11 Douglas Glod
BP-21 Isaiah Drake
BP-39 Diego Benitez
BP-118 Luis Guanipa
BP-130 Sabin Ceballos
A Very underwhelming group
I dunno sometimes it's good to challenge guys - you can see if they are up for the challenge, but if not, they get their weaknesses exposed so THEY know what they are. In the minors, sometimes that doesn't happen. Alot of these guys have never not seen success for their whole baseball lives.
The one thing that has always been great with the scouting department for the Atlanta Braves has been their ability to know when to say when. In some of the more recent cases like Tavarez and Benitez, from what I have seen, they do have talent, and they flash it more times than not. But it’s also quite evidence, that straight fastball during BP has done nothing for their approach in games. But then they short-circuit their development by taking cheats trying to keep up instead of working on a more solid foundation. That's how guys get exposed. Baseball is constant adjustments and one starts to learn that by first playing against comparable talent and not getting overwhelmed. Some guys can handle it, but most sports are as much between the ears as it with the physical tools and when you start getting into a young player's head, it rarely ends well.

What kind of cheats are you talking about?
I tend to think players are what they are.
