Think he’d renegotiate his contract to allow Atlanta to pay him less?Seager grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, so he undoubtedly lived and breathed the Braves as a lad. Would probably play for free if traded to the Braves.
I think he was ready to be out and they knew it. Hell he only went back there bc it was his only optionReports are the Mets never made an offer to Alonso
Alonso has a much better track record than Davis. And he doesn't strike out 30% of the time. It's like the Orioles learned nothing from Chris Davis.
I think he'll be fine there. Alonso can hit, just a little questionable defensively.I just did a quick photoshop of Alonso in an Orioles uniform:

I'd imagine Vientos or McNeil move to 1B. Probably looking at McNeil at 1B, Semien at 2B, Lindor at short, and Vientos at 3rd.The Mets will no doubt throw the bank at Bellinger and Tucker. They traded nimmo for a 2b and now don't have a 1b
We drafted soon-to-be 27-year-old C Archer Brookman from the Blue Jays in the minor league phase. We didn't lose Burkhalter or anyone else in the major league portion of the Rule 5 draft.
We have quite a few arms that will need this move likely after the first two months this year.I really want to see BB to get some reps in the Brave's BP this year. I get stretching him out and seeing if he can be a starter again (never was a starter imo).. I just think that at some point you have to pull the plug of some of these guys and just let them be a reliver first and then transition back into starting when you develop some success in the bigs. I think BB could make a lot of money if he just said I want to focus on being a legit BP weapon.
