I am not saying he is wrong.. but looking at % of spending on one aspect of a business compared to revenue is sort of a dumb take. How is he wrong right there?
There is a difference between revenue and profit. The Braves may have the revenue but higher operating expenses due to the battery and other things. So that graphic means nothing. When they list profit % compared to spending then I’ll pay attention
Man that would be awful value for a guy that was a consensus top 10 prospect this time a year ago.Dbacks are in serious discussions with the Cards for Arenado. I'm guessing that means Lawlar is on the move? I bet to the Brewers for Peralta.
For anyone not wanting to do the math, that's $40M-$47M per year. I think this shows just how valuable short term deals for players in their prime could potentially be.Mets offer to Tucker is in the 3 year - $120m-$140m range.
If the DBacks are looking to sell low on Lawlar I hope AA is all over that.Dbacks are in serious discussions with the Cards for Arenado. I'm guessing that means Lawlar is on the move? I bet to the Brewers for Peralta.
11 million is probably what is more important going back to the Cards. Not a bad risk/reward for Zona.. paying him 11 million for 2 years of potential return to form.. I wouldn't really want Nolan on the Braves really.. no where to put him unless Austin Sally is hurt again.Jack Martinez going back to Cardinals.
