I am not saying he is wrong.. but looking at % of spending on one aspect of a business compared to revenue is sort of a dumb take.

Dbacks are in serious discussions with the Cards for Arenado. I'm guessing that means Lawlar is on the move? I bet to the Brewers for Peralta.

There is a difference between revenue and profit. The Braves may have the revenue but higher operating expenses due to the battery and other things. So that graphic means nothing. When they list profit % compared to spending then I’ll pay attention

Man that would be awful value for a guy that was a consensus top 10 prospect this time a year ago.
I think Marte is the more realistic option to be moved. He would get them back a much better package and they can move Lawler to 2b.
For anyone not wanting to do the math, that's $40M-$47M per year. I think this shows just how valuable short term deals for players in their prime could potentially be.
If the DBacks are looking to sell low on Lawlar I hope AA is all over that.

11 million is probably what is more important going back to the Cards. Not a bad risk/reward for Zona.. paying him 11 million for 2 years of potential return to form.. I wouldn't really want Nolan on the Braves really.. no where to put him unless Austin Sally is hurt again.

Arenado is cooked. His Savant page has been pretty brutal for 3 years now. Lots of blue, including EVs lower than Ozzie's.

I am not a Nolan super fan so I really don't know.. but didn't he have a series of injuries that has really hampered him the last few years.. like Back issues or something.. He might be cooked.. but 11 million over 2 years barely buys you bench depth. it is pretty low risk gamble.
