We need a really legit backup INF like Polanco or Donovan bc Riley and Albies both have missed a lot of time latelyRiley can't stay healthy, so probably so

Not to mention Albies is trending towards being completely unplayable. We need a really legit backup INF like Polanco or Donovan bc Riley and Albies both have missed a lot of time lately
He had an .770 OPS in the second half, likely due to the wrist healing. Apparently, this new injury isn’t as serious. Not to mention Albies is trending towards being completely unplayable.

I trust that Albies can be a quality hitter again. However, I don't trust that he can stay healthy. Samesies for Riley. He had an .770 OPS in the second half, likely due to the wrist healing. Apparently, this new injury isn’t as serious.
Then he hurt it again while his approach continued to deteriorate. He had a real solid end of the year if I remember correctly. Almost like his broke wrist healed more?
When was he something different? I must have missed those episodesEncheff's villain arch is my favorite
You are 100% correct. That’s a lot to fill with $40M-$60M.SS

Those 4 things can't be patched with a bandaid this offseason.
There's where the trades are gonna come in. He can afford one of the FA SP if he gets Winn or Crawford instead of paying Kim. I think he has more to spend than that though especially with the battery doing so well. You are 100% correct. That’s a lot to fill with $40M-$60M.
They just got outbid for coaches...I cant see the Mets being outbid for Diaz. I hope we at least run up the price.

I'm gonna guess minimum of $250 and max of $275. I do like somebody's idea from yesterday of using Lopez in a deal. St Louis would have to kick in money to anybody on a Gray deal so why not just take Lopez back to help them fill a hole while creating one? Gray, Winn, and Donovan for Lopez, Nacho, and a couple of prospects.I hope you're right. The payroll is right around $190M right now, was $217M last year, and peaked at $238M in 2024.
I'd rather pay a couple of million more and get Cease if we are giving up a 2nd rounder. Give me Polanco for a INF backup and guy to rotate through DH. I'm afraid some team is gonna give Kim 4 years bc of the thin SS market. I'm gonna guess AA offered 3/45 and was turned down.Going by mlbtraderumor projections as a refrence/
Kim 2 years 30 million
Suarez 5 years 115 million - 23 million per
Iglesias 2 years 24 million - not because I want him but Braves apparently do
Thats 50 million right there. For utility players I would go after LH OF Mike Yastrzemski and RH Miguel Andujar. No amount listed for each so should be relatively cheap. Yastrzemski had a 126 RC vs RH pitching and has been a solid platoon player for years. He can play average defense in the corner outfield and has a great arm. Andujar had a 171 and 191 RC vs lefties the last 2 years. He can play all the corner positions and has a canon for an arm. If we want to rotate players at DH we need guys capable of filling in at those positions otherwise we really lose the primary benefit of the DH.
That would represent an unprecedented jump in payroll for the Braves.I'm gonna guess minimum of $250 and max of $275. I do like somebody's idea from yesterday of using Lopez in a deal. McGuirk is gonna look pretty bad if they aren't a top 5 payroll team and the top 5 teams are gonna spend raising the bar. I think they'd only go that high if they had a chance to sign a difference maker. That would represent an unprecedented jump in payroll for the Braves.
