Trump needs to consult Cy’s mom on how to keep inflation down because her daily costs have not gone up in several decades. They’re just as resilient as they were before even the Carter admin.
Unlike yours who only knows how to keep inflation up.
I feel like we should be pretty satisfied if the worst player in the opening day lineup is Dubs at SS making $6M.
Of course, as the position players currently stand AA could add Tromp to the roster, stick Baldwin at DH, and pretty much accomplish exactly that. I think we should be prepared for no other everyday position players to be acquired.

I think he will for sure. He saw how versatile the Blue Jays and Dodgers were and there's where Dubon fits in. He won't be the starting SS.

Me too. I still think Kim resigns for a 2-3 year deal for around 16 per. It'll heat up a lot at the WM.

I think this is the most logical approach to take as a fan. They SHOULD have the money and prosect capital to feel every need, but we will believe it when we see it. They've not shown the willingness to go out and fill the holes needed to create an elite roster in a few years now.

I personally think there's a near-zero chance he has less $30M, but I completely understand thinking otherwise.
The payroll is at $210M this moment. You think the opening day payroll can be $260M after peaking at $238M in 2024 and dropping to under $220M in 2025?

Given the number of needs, the reset last year, the stadium revenue bump, and the front office comments, I think $238M (or $244M if they want to stay under that first threshold) is the bare minimum we should expect. Either way, we’re looking at roughly $34M to work with.
I don’t think they can cover everything without at least one trade, but they absolutely have enough for another major splash plus a few good, quality-to-above-average moves.

Projecting payroll should be no different than projecting what a player is going to do. If a guy hits 250 most of the time then bust a 275 one year and immediately drops back down to 250. Then probably a safer assumption that he will hit 250.
The Braves can say things all they want. But probably safer to assume they are going to spend closer to what they normally do which is below 240. Doesn’t mean they won’t surprise us.

You're absolutely right in terms of spending expectations, but there's zero way he's comfortable with the team as is without multiple additions. Hell, he's said the opposite a few times. It's a very talented but extremely flawed roster.
