2025-2026 offseason thread

Shortstop or SP trade would be most likely. I wouldn’t entirely discount a Buxton trade if AA is willing to part with Harris. People are assuming Yaz might split a lot of at bats with Murphy with Profar rotating between left and DH, but it’s difficult to ever assume with AA.

would anyone trade MH2 straight up for Buxton? would the Twinkies say no?

Hmm. This makes two years in a row that I'm not crazy about the Braves' big FA addition and for a lot of the same reasons. We're buying high off a career year, giving a 3-year contract to a player entering his decline years, and the player has some obvious warts under the hood. I'm certainly not forecasting doom, but I think there's a good chance we're gonna be disappointed with the net result here in time. Not devastated, but disappointed and regretful. Hope I'm wrong.
 
Take this with a grain of salt, but Steve Phillips is on MLB network talking about how bad the Mets clubhouse was last season. Says Soto and Lindor were not talking. Rumor is the Mets and Padres were talking about a Lindor trade at the winter meetings.
