Did you miss Adam Duvall? Why can’t we take advantage?
Luzardo or Cabrera would’ve been nice. Why can’t we take advantage?
Didn't AA say they only want to go after someone who could start a playoff game. Unless he takes a step forward in his development that ain't Cabrera.Cabrera has 3 years left so he would have been a good target. #1 and #11 Cubs prospects. Feels light

There are only a few of those you could get in trade. Peralta and Ryan. I'd rather give up the extra to get Joe Ryan and the extra year of control if it means staying away for the high end FA SP left.Didn't AA say they only want to go after someone who could start a playoff game. I would too. I honestly think they don't make any big moves for the rotation until the trade deadline. There are only a few of those you could get in trade. Peralta and Ryan. FG doesn't feel as high on Caissia as other sites. He has legitimate 30+ homer power, but his contact rates are mediocre to go along with 29% k rate. He also can't hit lefties and his defensive reports suggest he's relegated to a corner OF position, though he does have 60 grade arm. That feels like a Joc Pederson clone at best, unless he can reduce the K rate and hit lefties at a decent clip.Cabrera has 3 years left so he would have been a good target. #1 and #11 Cubs prospects. I doubt Elder even makes the team out of ST, unless someone else is hurt or he's in the BP as the mop up man. The more likely scenario is that he is traded or DFA'd.If AA doesn’t get another SP nobody is allowed to act surprised, or use “pitchers are risky” as an excuse when Elder starts 30 games again due to injuries to the most injury prone rotation among all contenders.
AA is a SP away from an above average, and maybe even good, off season. He needs to finish the job.
Cabrera has a lot of talent and could certainly be a guy who takes a step forward. Luzardo was/is that guy too.Didn't AA say they only want to go after someone who could start a playoff game. Unless he takes a step forward in his development that ain't Cabrera.
Marlins are just being run incredibly poor right now. I don't think Cabrera is anything more than a # 3, but that was worth more than what they got.Cabrera has a lot of talent and could certainly be a guy who takes a step forward. Luzardo was/is that guy too.
