Shanks has no consistency. He was just on there the other day basically saying he wouldn't trade Ritchie at all. Well what exactly does he think it would take to get Nico or Donovan?

Especially now that teams know we would be desperate.

I am really thankful AA saw the SS depth issue and addressed it with Dubon. It sucks we have to test it before the season even starts, but the alternative would have been another half season of Allen, and I don't think I could have taken another season of that.

Where it hurts the most is Dubon not being able to platoon with Yaz as much. But it might finally open the window for the Braves to add Grichuk, who feels like he's always been destined to be the Braves' fourth/fifth outfielder.

I thought about this as well. His market won’t be spectacular next offseason. So strike while there is a nice negotiation window.
