According to Lindsay Crosby of Braves Today, the Braves had a deal in place with the Brewers for Peralta, with Ritchie as the centerpiece. Milwaukee was reportedly on board, but Peralta wouldn’t agree to an extension. The Braves were only willing to make the trade if an extension was in place, so it ultimately fell apart.

Coming up short again is frustrating, but it makes me wonder if the Braves go all in on another name. If they are willing to move Ritchie, then Alex isn't fucking around.

That's really encouraging. Maybe AA was waiting on the Brewers and now he can pivot to somebody else.

SP trade market is picking up now with quality guys. I would have liked Gore. Could be bad news for Framber and Gallen. Their price will probably drop some soon.

The price in prospects and money have been crazy so far this offseason.

Fein is a recent draft lottery ticket with good upside. I wouldn't be happy with that return if what I am see is it. Like the Rosario get though.

The Rangers have a pretty bad farm system too. Which is obviously a lot worse now. The Braves could have beat or matched that deal, but I don't think I would have wanted them to. I like Gore, but he would be our number four and that's a massive overpay for that level of arm.

I was inflating Gore in my head more than he should have been. While Gore is good and has 3 years of control left.. he is not elite and the package is a good return for the gNats.

That's a quantity over quality return, and looks like one of those trade proposals some casual fan would come here to propose when they just kept adding names to the trade simulator.

I would have been all for AA creating some equivalent platter of prospects for 2 years of Gore.
