2025-2026 offseason thread

I realize fans are in excuse mode when they see data showing a prospect isn't all that special, but velocity typically comes back very quickly after elbow surgery.

That's why Strider's velocity loss is so concerning.
I will always give guys coming off injury some time to improve.. I honestly don't know his velo prior to surgery... that said, he should not be on anyone's 'do not trade list'

When will baseball take the necessary steps to constrain big-market bullies like the Braves from unfairly leveraging real estate investments as part of their team-building strategies? No one can compete with this!

Obligatory reminder - duh
You would be surprised the amount of people on Twitter who are replying to this post or ones like it that believe the Braves should be spending with the Dodgers based on this figure. Or from Dodger fans who are using this as some sort of example that the Braves have the ability to spend the like the Dodgers if they wanted to.

From what I can tell, net profit was around 100 million from all total operations, including the Battery (which is likely treated separately from Braves operations).

That is our by far our best year yet. And it is still less than 1/3 of what the Dodgers were estimated to have generated in profit last year. And that's with the Dodgers essentially setting 150 million on fire with luxury tax payments.

Don't tell me the system isn't broken.

I just read the battery generated more profit than the team though most of the revenue was on club side. More like 60-40 though.
