What do you guys think of Perdomo? Does he have a shot for the pen?

As the bullpen world turns . . . Perdomo faces the minimum in 1.1 IP against actual big leaguers, including 2 Ks. FB velocity still 92-94, below pre-injury. Had a great back-foot slider to Crews, then kind of hung one to Wood (but got away with it). No walks is probably the headline considering he had as many BBs as Ks coming into today. Seems like a net-positive outing for his chances, but how successful is gonna be sitting 92-93 with the FB?

they let Riley run bases then did not let him take field as a 'precaution'

cant imagine it being anything

Anyone else concerned about Reynaldo Lopez? He last pitched on 3/7 and his velocity was down around 3 MPH. His normal day to pitch would have been Thursday, but they went with the bullpen game instead. I don't recall the beat writers saying anything about him pitching on the back fields instead, but maybe they did and I missed it?

Dead arm period. Probably just extra rest.
