Obviously not likely, but one benefit of Baldwin being on the roster to start the season is we get a pick after the first round if he has a monster season and wins Rookie of the Year.

I thought this was the case but looked it up before I posted. Prospects have to be top 100 in two of Baseball America, ESPN and MLB Pipeline. AJSS isn’t.

Why not? Never hurts to have options. He's been a better hitter to this point than Allen. Also, I think Arcia might just be done as a MLB player in general. I wouldn't be surprised to see him DFA'd before the end of the season. He looks really, really bad.

There is a reason he isn't signed by anyone right now.

The only shortstops the Braves need to be looking at are for trade candidates at the deadline.
