That knuckler was devastating.
I love watching his pitches in slow motion. It really gives you insight into how much it moves. How does anyone hit it when its on?

It seemed to have the hitters (and catcher) baffled even when it stayed in the strike zone. I think pitching in Sky Dome hurt him the last few years. He's going to turn out to be our best signing last off-season. I love the option for the second year.
More importantly that even when he has a bad game it's almost always 6+ innings. If the starting pitching comes together I think the braves have a shot at finishing at or above 500 this year.

Glad to see Phillips coming around. Thought he was going to go E-bar on us. He still doesn't know how to walk but we knew that.
Ozzie is starting to thrash AAA. It is going to be interesting to see how the FO handles this. Especially if Phillips is still winning us games.

We can just demote Dansby and replace him with Albies to appease all of the early call-up posters. It's easy to make room.
Edit: for the record, I agree with the early-call up posters.

Phillips has always been a low walk guy. You need some combination of defense/BABIP/power from him to generate any value. He was a decent player as recently as 2015. He might be able to give something close to what he produced that year.
He was awesome second half last year a's well.

I think he stays around till deadline. If we are in contention I still worry front office won't have the stones to trade him.
But if he's a 280 plus hitter with some power and good d on a one million deal then he should net us a useful pen arm prospect
