I know but there was a strong current of opinion on this board that, at age 36, he was essentially "done" at the major league level and that we should just bring up Albies. The jury's still out on BP but the decision's looking okay so far.

That's because for the past 5 years he's had a 95 OPS+ which clearly isn't good. He's had a good first two weeks but I think he's going to settle in where he's been offensively for the past half decade. His saving grace is that until last year he had still been good defensively. Last year his defense failed him and the popular opinion is that his age finally caught up with him in that dept. And the early indications in 2017 is that seems to be true for his defense.
