The Mariners have agreed to a minor league deal with outfielder Carlos Quentin, Bob Dutton of the Tacoma News Tribune reports. Quentin was released by the Braves recently, shortly after he was acquired as part of the Craig Kimbrel deal — with his large salary functioning to offset salary.

Yep, call should stand because too close to overturn it. If called out originally it would probably stand the other way.

That said, watching live when I saw the hit I thought for sure he'd nail AJ but it worked out.

We picked him over Wandy too even though the cost was the same. The only way that makes sense is if you're wanting to lose more games to get a higher draft pick, IMO.
