4/30... going for sweep over brewers

Well the at bat doesnt happen if Swanson makes a routine play. Maybe he homers first at bat next inning. I would think Folty would have been fresher and would not have been pitching out of the stretch so maybe he gets a different result.

Maybe. We will never know. In situations like this I would leave it at 2 unearned runs and 1 earned. But again this is just an issue I have with ERA as a stat.

Homers are generally pretty bad for ERA too. Kind of ironic that Fielding independent pitching penalizes Folty for a homer given up that was the result of a fielding mistake.

I hope that this is, in fact, an aberration that will be forgotten in time. Right now, though, it just sucks donkey balls.

Sucks for Folty. Dude has pitched his ass off today. Losses happen and he did in fact allow the homer, but he shouldn't have even faced the batter. Dansby will be fine, just blows!

Yunel was decent.

Yunel got run out of town by Bobby because he would make dumb mistakes on routine balls and then would pout about it. My point is all SS make dumb errors occasionally (even Simba). Coming into this game Dansby was average to slightly above average defensively this year at SS, it's not like he has been sucking defensively.

I was driving the "bringing up Swanson is idiotic!" bus last season when we brought him up, but now that we've already made the mistake we need to give the kid time to work through his issues. And as Garmel said, he's already shown some signs recently of improvement. This would be the entirely wrong time to be sending him down.

I think my biggest issue with Adonis is his inability to take a walk. Dude can do so many things right, but he cannot stop himself to save his life. It kills our rallies.

As ticked as most of us are at him now, you're probably right about Swanson.
