4/30... going for sweep over brewers

Homers are generally pretty bad for ERA too. Kind of ironic that Fielding independent pitching penalizes Folty for a homer given up that was the result of a fielding mistake.

I would disagree that the homer is a result of a fielding mistake. The homer was a result of a pitch that Folty made that was hit out of the park.

Dansby's routine error led the home run...you know this...why be so argumentative?

I didn't know stating my opinion was being argumentative? I disagree that Folty should be completely excused for that homerun which is what ERA says should happen.

Was just thinking the same thing. Either Freddie has a green light to go when he wants or a sign was missed...didn't help Kemp missed a fastball right down the d*ck.

Yeah. It doesn't always just lead to a homer, but that pitch could have been smashed -- or should have been.

Not the biggest fan of how Snitker has managed the pen in the past, but it sure is encouraging to see him using Collmenter and Wisler to pitch multiple innings. Makes the bullpen that much better and keeps the hard throwers fresh.

You dont get to hit like Melvin and field like Melvin and get to be on the team. I have had enough of Melvins.

In all fairness, Dansby doesn't loaf and pout like Melvin did. He also doesn't have a contract that's bankrupting the payroll. I think most would agree that we did bring him up too early along with an unreasonable level of expectations. Paying for that mistake now requires us to watch him do to his AAA learning at the major league level.

Thank you for saying this and putting it so well. Really good (and frustrating) point.

It's a mistake that could be fixed.

Better hope we can get like 2-3 doubles in a row... not a lot of power coming up with Neck, Kurt, and Jace

Unfortunately, the quick and obvious remedy may or may not be the best option for either the organization or for the player.

Agreed.

Growing pains. He is supposed to be one of corner stone guys....let him take his lumps.
