5/18 GDT: Schwellenbach, The Drake, and the Rested Bullpen in the Series Finale in Fenway

It was a rough start, but things are definitely turning around. Starters are shoving, hitters are finally making solid contact, and the bullpen — outside of Iggy (who I'm not worried about), Montero, and maybe De Los Santos — has mostly been doing its job. The schedule's about to get a little tougher, but with Acuña and Strider returning this week, I like our chances to keep rolling. I’ll sure as hell take it.

I suspect that even though we didn’t see Dodd in a game, the coaches got a good look at him in the pen, and were able to get some good insight into how he might be used in the future.

I would like to have seen him in a game, but I think they probably found out what they wanted to. It will be interesting to see when or whether we see him again.
 
Gameball: Olson. Ozuna. Drake.

And Devers. He hopefully taught Spencer Schwellenbach a damn lesson with that grandslam.
 
Man it would be pretty epic if Ozzie got things fixed. He's looked a lot better the last few games. Of course I said the same thing 2 weeks ago and then he went into the worst slump of his career, so what do I know?

Harris has been hitting the ball hard, but his approach is still beyond awful. But he's too talented to hit this poorly all season, right?

Olson seems to have found his power stroke. Ditto for Ozuna. With Acuna coming back, this offense could actually be fun to watch for the first time in awhile.

Also, I REALLY need Austin Riley to go on an epic tear. I got a $50 bet to win $3k if he wins the MVP and it's not looking great at the moment. If he could hit like 15 homers in the next month or so, that would help me out a lot.

I think when Acuna gets back Harris needs to go back to the 9 hole. He was very successful there and if he's gonna swing at everything anyway better to have more of those pitches actually be strikes

He loves talking about things he “almost” did. It’s like the person who brags about almost having a career as a professional athlete, or almost invented something. Yeah, well, you didn’t so it means absolutely nothing to talk about it.
