5/26 - trying to avoid being swept by a horrible pirates team

Told y’all. Somehow, most of the fan base hasn’t learned that Acuña dies 3-4 times every year and then magically returns to life shortly after.

I don’t think he was trying to steal (as reported by some). Just a step towards third to distract the pitcher. It was the reverse cut back to second base that put pressure on the knee.

We are quick to look for confirmation of our bias wherever we can find it.

I mean he's still around their dicking around. The fact is that Acuna is a generational talent as a hitter. It would be a shame if we got to see less of him performing to his ability becuase of his knees failing him. I mean we saw it with Griffey in his 30s. Yes, Acuna can be a very dynamic player on the bases. One of the best even. But it still pales to what he can do with the bat. And with that being said I understand nobody is going to get him to change. It's something he's just going to have to realize himself. Keeping him in Atlanta on big contract probablly won't be the smartest thing to do if he's intent on destryoing his knees.

Long rest for both knees (and a much needed mental reset) may be just what he needs. If we can have healthy and refreshed Acuna, I’m okay waiting until the second half. MLB ruined the regular season anyways so it’s not like these games matter much anyways.

Exactly.
