Have you not been paying attention? We know the answer to this.
And apparently we have no adjustment wrench in the tool box.

The new, dead ball. This actually concerns me more than most. If baseball is manipulating the ball to achieve certain results, what's stopping them from using different balls within the same game to achieve those ends? It would be a way MLB could put a thumb on the scales to try to get teams they want into the playoffs.
Msstate, not sure if this will make you feel better, but Freeman made an error at 1st last night that lost the Dodgers the game against the Pirates.

I mean they literally did this in the playoffs a few years ago which screwed the Braves tremendously in the series against the Cards. They changed the baseballs for the playoffs and the Braves (Acuna mainly) got screwed hard. It's just ****ing ****ty.
But for Olson specifically. There have been several balls that he has hit that would have been a homerun last year. The most recent example was his last double in Sundays game that went off the wall. That's a few rows deep last year. Just going by the eyeball test. With last years baseball Olson's overall stat line would look a lot like last year. He leads MLB in doubles. How many of those are bombs last year?
Duvall I think is done. His issue is likely a combination of a loss of bat speed and the dead baseball. A bad combo for someone his age where power was his calling card offensively.
I was just hoping for a temporary hot streak from waters while Harris got a month of AAA AB. I've never thought waters was a long term fix. Guess we'll see what happens with Harris, but I hope rushing him doesn't hurt him long term. I actually think he has long term potential, but i have a hard time seeing a ground ball machine work. I'd have liked to see him learn to lift in the minors.
Who mentioned strider? He has a 1.88 FIP and 0.8 fWAR in 28.2 ip.
It's NINE FRIGGING ABS.
Contreras is 2 for his last 8, and d'Arnaud is 2 for his last 12 - guess Alex needs to go searching for another Catcher, Strider gave up 5 EARNED RUNS last night - he's obviously much worse than Davidson who only gave up 1 earned in a longer stint his last outing. How on God's green earth can you preach patience with Strider and decide calling Harris up instead of a guy who's striking out in 36% of his ABs was a huge mistake?
I love "fans", but you are completely insufferable at times. If these guys were failures (or not ready) after their first 9 ABs, you'd decide to get rid of the vast majority of MLB players after watching them play for a WHOLE WEEKEND. Ozzie started his career 1 for 14 - should've sent him away. Chipper started 3 for 17 in 1995. There's a reason you wind up answering yourself at times - you sound like a 10 year old who has never seen a game a lot of the time. You don't even wait to comment on something until it becomes a small sample size - you think people should be sent back to the minors/traded/DFAd in between ABs.
Just chill a little - I promise the sun will come up Sunday even if Harris doesn't get another hit before then.
if you dislike me so much, block me. I really couldn't care less. I promise you I'm not gonna read your sad blog.
Honestly how is that play not ruled an error?
"Can't assume the douple play"???
What's there to assume. If he catches the ball the runner is out. There is no assumption on the fielder throw or the runners speed... It's purely a catch = out and he failed to catch it.
Just a dumb rule
