Yeah, .364 is really solid. If he can keep it between .350-.370, there's no way we can't play him.
Snitker: You underestimate my power!

231 out of 290 in the minors for 79.6%
So far in MLB he's 13 out of 20 for 65%. He has the ability. I'd say some of if may be nerves but he's also been called out a couple of times where he was actually safe too.

Right around 80% is impressive. Anything above 75 is pretty good. I would like to see him get that number at 75% by the end of the season. I think that's within reason too.
Sure there is. Same reason we want to replace Neck asap. Zero power. But the two main stats propping up that OBP (320 BABIP and 14% BB rate) aren't likely to continue.
Why can't he maintain a .320 BABIP? he's not a slow guy by any means.

Or a 14% walk rate. Those numbers don't scream lucky to me. They seem quite sustainable, and a sign of progress as a player.
In a span of 27 games anything can happen. Of course he did similar things to start last year and people got upset when we suggested caution when expecting that to continue.
and then he got hurt
yup. injuries must be the reason he sucked last year.
I don't think it helped. he was hitting well. got hurt. came back, continued hitting well, eventually fell off. perhaps the injury was lingering. i'm not saying it was definitely the injury, I'm saying it's possible and would say it almost definitely hurt his production at least a little bit. i'm not ready to make a definitive statement on him, that's all.
I just don't think he has starter ability and is best used as a utility player.

I vote we don't give up on him yet.
