"Griffin Canning -- what a find for the Mets"

Last time one of my teams drank on the team plane they went into the tank and haven’t recovered since.Maybe, just maybe, they can get on the plane, drink a bunch of beer, play a bunch of cards and realize they actually don’t suck….
Canning sucks, bro.Given our rotation woes the less said about Canning the better—another brilliant AA move.
He's having a good year for the Mets. We could certainly use him. Join reality.Canning sucks, bro.
You act like he'd have the same numbers here. He's what Elder is when he had his ASG yearHe's having a good year for the Mets. We could certainly use him. Join reality.
Don't wait. Do it at the deadline. The return will be better. This team isn't going to the playoffs. Accept it and look towards 2026.I think the Braves trade Sean in the off-season. There's just no reason to have two top-5 catchers. They could split them at DH, but re-signing Ozuna, trading Murphy for a top-100 prospect and then letting Baldwin take over makes too much sense. Either way, we are so fortunate in that regard.

Well, yeah... have you not looked at his Statcast page? One homer from one of the hottest bats in the game doesn't mean much. Are those that still think Blewitt is good?
Was that not helpful? You act like he'd have the same numbers here. He's what Elder is when he had his ASG year
If we don't get any better, he might be gone at the deadline.I think the Braves trade Sean in the off-season. There's just no reason to have two top-5 catchers. I think he commands more than you think. Elite catchers, which he is, are incredibly hard to get. In general, I agree with you but a catcher is different than every other position. A contender would go all-in on him.If we don't get any better, he might be gone at the deadline.
Also, I doubt we get a top 100 prospect for him with his contract. He should bring a decent haul, but a 30 year old catcher with 4/60 left on his deal just isn't going to drive a huge a market. Saying that, I could see the Astros, or maybe the Giants willing to give up a couple of top 10 prospects for him.
