Ha, there is no way Swanson would have played for the Diamondbacks in 2016. Shoot, he might still be in their AA, given he's never actually demonstrated he can hit AA pitching.

Yeah, but baseball is weird. Capitalize on the chance when you have it. This is a legit team and should at least have a great shot at the postseason down the wire. Make it, and then see what you can do. Throw Touki and Gohara in the pen and have some fun.

Yeah injuries happen, players struggle...you never know. BUT...if everything just breaks average and we of course add even more talent...we’re contenders. Not that we aren’t this year, but we are pretty big underdogs against some teams. I don’t think that’s the case next year.

Biddle was awful in his last outing, costing us the game.....already 2 on today with no outs.....dude is struggling

We could see a jump next year...or things could go the other way. Markakis has played above his head, as has Camargo. We've been good at catcher. Newcomb/Folty...we've had several spots that have been better than expected. That could easily go the other way next year. You just never know.

I agree with you generally speaking, but I also would have thought the Cubs would just be demolishing people at this point. Baseball is weird.

Biddle threw a lot of stressful pitches Saturday. I would have liked to give him another day off if all possible. 8-1 should be safe enough to throw guys who don’t pitch out there.
