8/9: Red Sox game 1

Yeah, baseball teams routinely change their approach...happens all the time!

Remember that time the Braves won a championship by hitting a bunch of HRs off good pitchers? It was a long time ago, but it can happen.

Sure do. I also remember them winning a couple big games by blending those big homers nicely with some big base hits in key scoring situations and not relying exclusively on home runs. Unlike previous years when they had power-hitting offenses but couldn't get big hits.

Watching Ozuna at the plate in Fenway is a stark reminder of how much worse he than the hitter who destroyed the Red Sox in 2020.

Why did TBS pick up Frenchy? He’s terrible too. But Jordan is on a whole other level of terrible.

Great to see the Braves stringing together a good mix of hits and homers. Not quite as cool, though, as swinging and flailing against the unhittable Joely Rodriguez.

When you hit the ball hard and elevate the ball they don’t always leave the park, sometimes they find a gap.

The Braves' broadcasting crew is probably bottom 10 in the league. I know that the Diamondbacks and Nationals have brutal commentators, too.

Steve stone doesn't suck

Steve Stone is exceptional for sure.

Frenchy is in the upper third if I ventured to guess. His analysis isn’t great but he’s positive in a non cheasy way. Majority of color man are old men that constantly hate on modern baseball.
