8/9: Red Sox game 1

Super excited about Grissom! I’ve watched him several times in AA and he’s exciting. It worked with Harris let’s see how Grissom does. If he comes up and tears the cover off the ball it’ll make the decision interesting if Grissom would be the SS or LF next year.
 
Is there any team that pushes prospects to the majors more quickly then the Braves.
Love the fact we dont play the service time game.
Our window is now dammit.

Aggressive promotion has been the pattern pre-Anthopoulos. Works for some guys and not for others. Braves were patient with Grissom; starting at Rome this year after finishing there last year. He was in the 60-man pool for part of the COVID season, so the Braves have thought highly of him. I think the thing about the COVID year and the elimination of the Appalachian League is that it has really messed up how we think about progression from level-to-level. Grissom probably spends 2020 with our Low-A team if there's a season and probably advances to High-A in 2021. That may have put him in AA to start this year.

I know we are all excited to have Grissom come up. But it really does suck to lose Arcia who did an excellent job filling in for Ozzie.

102 wRC, .319 wOBA, +3 OOA at 2B

If Grissom can replicate those numbers we should be very happy.
