2017 is dog and pony show. They might get good enough to finish .500. But Kemp, Markais, Flowers even McCann should he come in are not part of the long term solution. To progress from .500 you have to have answers as to where that progress comes from.
They don't have to be part of the long term solution. I think the Braves prefer spending the money on Kemp and maybe being .500 at best that than going with someone like Francoeur in LF all year and winning as few games as possible. There isn't going to be a point in time where the Braves are constant bottom dwellers then magically all the prospects are ready along with great FA acquisitions. Incremental improvement is what's going to happen. And that is with mixing veterans and young guys even if the Vets aren't long term solutions.
