AcuñaMania

Can we talk about how Acuna might be one of the ten best prospects in the last 20 years?

Why do the Braves owe the city of Atlanta? And what did the city ever do to encourage them to want to stay?

I live in Cobb and work and spent a lot of time in the heart of the city, so I don't really care about the location either way. But the new location makes WAY more sense for the Braves. Any argument for them staying where they were is purely a romantic notion of a team being connected to a city. The Braves moved to where their fans are. Atlanta did nothing in 30 years to make that area more appealing for people coming in.

Professional sport is nothing if not a purely romantic endeavor.

The city gave them a pretty sweet deal on Turner, in the first place. But, you're free to patronize Sun Trust; I've decided I won't (and I'll keep getting my digs in by no longer calling them the "Atlanta" Braves).

Fair enough. I would strongly encourage you to check it out. It is infinitely better than Turner Field.

This would be a mistake on the part of Detroit (and Atlanta).

it might be a mistake, but he is absolutely right. No way does Detroit trade an established MLB starter of Fulmer's caliber and under control for one prospect.. Even if it is Acuna.
