Affordable Care Act

As much as (by your logic) a food stamp or welfare recipient is responsible for their lot in life. Like I said, my family HC and home insurance has seen no increase but my auto did.
Difference between you and me? I understand why -

So yeah, it is your fault -- if lack of curiosity of how societal changes will affect you can be called a fault. I just think it immature and expecting the system to take care of you

LOL

go change that silly looking sweater before I tell Incognito what you wear!!

(why you wishing me lots of love ? )

I uh... am not sure how to respond to this.

Help me understand what I'm missing.

1. I was paying a great premium for my insurance because my company offers a tremendous plan

2. ObamaCare passes.

3. Company is forced to offer coverage for contractors, work from home employees, and many hourly employees.

4. As a result, the salaried employee premiums jump rather significantly in order to subsidize (still getting a great rate, by the way)

5. #4 is sturg33's fault

Is that right?

Link: All David's Bridal Employees Moved to Part-Time Employment Due to ObamaCare

A source close to the situation confirmed to The Daily Caller that David’s Bridal salespeople across the country today had their work hours slashed to 30 hours per week and their health insurance eliminated. These terms were non-negotiable, with employees told to either accept the new terms or to quit immediately.

And just to make sure 57 doesn't get away with obviously ignoring this... Let's recap:

Not only to the employees lose their health insurance ("more accessible!!!"), but they also are being cut from full time to hourly, meaning less money in their pockets ("more affordable!!!!").

This is just the tip of the ice berg.

Honestly though, it's their fault for not reading the 10,000 pages of legal language in regulations that make up Obamacare. They should have known.

True. Because if they knew it was going to happen, then it wouldn't have happened.

The surprise to me is that this didn't end up being called the Effeminate Care Act to REALLY play the two sides against each other.

So, I’ve decided on a plan, what exactly does it cover?
By law, all categories must cover the following essential health care: ambulatory patient services; emergency services; hospitalization; maternity and newborn care; mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment; prescription drugs; rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices; laboratory services; preventive and wellness services and chronic disease management; and pediatric services, including oral and vision care.

////

Meaning if you didnt have these coverages before you were required by law to carry them now.
Feeling certain all here understand how insurance works. The insurance companies through the goodness of their hearts were not going to just give it to you !!!

Had you been paying attention in 2009-10 when this was being discussed many on the left railed against this notion. They lost the argument to those that thought it should be a free market program. In Bedells term - your team got what they wanted. Whether you knew it or not. Or, you get to shake your fist at Obama.

Pay your 79% increase because it was what "your team" wanted and you weren't prepared for the change

You can base the increased coverage on the price hike, but you would be off base. Speaking with our company reps they are passing along the sentiment that the ability to not rate for things like Cancer, Heart Disease, Obesity, etc... as the main cause. Exchanges are no help because they decided not to offer different pricing vs outside the exchange. Blindly accepting clients with supposedly no history(lol) is asking for them to play it super safe and charge folks out of the A (because its the law they have to buy). Immunizations are not the cause of skyrocketing premiums.

I'm still confused how my premium increase is my fault?

A. I knew it was coming

B. I knew why it was coming

C. I was prepared for it

Your argument is, because it's law, I should be fine with it. But the whole point is we're pissed because it IS the law! Don't you understand that? Or are you so obtuse you just can't figure it out.

The country was told they would be able to obtain affordable health care. This is not the case. Health premiums are sky rocketing. Companies are dropping their coverage. Workers hours are being cut. It's a disaster for just about everyone. But because (D) put it in place, you blindly support it.

Who cares if people understand WHY their rates are going up... The fact is, rates are going up. They are going up because of this law. Can you not admit that?

Try responding without linking to someone else, please

Have you looked in the exchanges yet to see if you can do better than the 79% increase? Why you are fine paying such an outlandish premium escapes me. 79% -

It is the law because people in favor of the law won elections where the issue was debated.
4% of the (R) party can shake their fists all they want but 4% of 47% is not how the constitution you tout at your convenience spells out how we are governed. Did you miss the Ted Cruz fiasco of a few weeks ago?

There are people that are getting affordable HC where there was non available to them before.

Rates are going up! Geez, I didnt know that!

Perhaps you read some of those links you would see how people are using ACA to their advantage. Or, you can simply quit reading and shake your fist at Obama

I was unwilling to give my personal info to the healthcare.gov site. But if my buddy is any indication of what I would be paying (he is two years older than me, and looked into), after his 48 min wait on the phone, he was given a monthly premiums that is 180% higher than what I pay, with a much higher deductible.

But hey, it's affordable.

Edit - you are hung up on the 78% increase. I still have a great premium rate. But it ain't what it used to be. Thanks Obamacare!!

Why don't you support the Iraq war?

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

I mean, it was clear as day why it was started. It says it right in the resolution:

Iraq's noncompliance with the conditions of the 1991 ceasefire agreement, including interference with U.N. weapons inspectors.
Iraq "continuing to possess and develop a significant chemical and biological weapons capability" and "actively seeking a nuclear weapons capability" posed a "threat to the national security of the United States and international peace and security in the Persian Gulf region."
Iraq's "brutal repression of its civilian population."
Iraq's "capability and willingness to use weapons of mass destruction against other nations and its own people".
Iraq's hostility towards the United States as demonstrated by the 1993 assassination attempt on former President George H. W. Bush and firing on coalition aircraft enforcing the no-fly zones following the 1991 Gulf War.
Members of al-Qaeda, an organization bearing responsibility for attacks on the United States, its citizens, and interests, including the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, are known to be in Iraq.
Iraq's "continu[ing] to aid and harbor other international terrorist organizations," including anti-United States terrorist organizations.
Iraq paid bounty to families of suicide bombers.
The efforts by the Congress and the President to fight terrorists, and those who aided or harbored them.
The authorization by the Constitution and the Congress for the President to fight anti-United States terrorism.
The governments in Turkey, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia feared Saddam and wanted him removed from power.
Citing the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, the resolution reiterated that it should be the policy of the United States to remove the Saddam Hussein regime and promote a democratic replacement.

It's your fault if you disagree with these.

\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\

It is what happened because people in favor of the of the decision won elections where the issue was debated. 82% of democrats voted for it. You can shake your fist, but it is what it is.

Here's a nonsense link saying how good of a decision it was

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/03/05/gordon-brown-iraq-war-was_n_486969.html

So there you have it. You can shake your fist, but it is what it is. Why are you mad? The President told us it was for WMDs. Who cares if he was lying? If you were paying attention, you would have known and we wouldn't have gone to war.

Or something like that

Oh by the way… CGI (the company who botched the website), has just been awarded 5 new government contracts for $7 million bucks.

Gotta love government
