Alberto Callaspo Possibly Being Traded

If we can get something good for Grilli, then I'd pull the trigger. But there's part of me that would like to keep him around next year if we plan on making a run at the postseason. I like him a ot.

He's getting older and could very well decline, I'd trade him at the deadline if we get a good offer.

Didn't realize his peripherals were that good. I only looked high level.

I haven't disagreed with everything Hart did. Once the decision was made to punt - we should've punted. I loved the Gattis and Kimbrel trades - really loved them. I liked a few of the smaller deals.

Markakis will never make sense. And spending a whole bunch of money on garbage confuses me as well. Unless we have a legal obligation to keep the payroll at a certain level, I don't see the point. I would have saved that money or used it to invest in our good players like Wood or Miller. Instead we're scrambling trying to give away Callaspo.

Yes - the signing have worked in the sense that the players have played well (against expectations) but if the original point was to flip them for prospects, I'm skeptical that we'll get anything of real value. We'll see

I agree with everything you said there. I still think the Markakis signing was in poor taste, but I'm glad he's shown that he can be a valuable contributor. The consensus coming into the year was that he was going to be a net nothing.

#Dodgers Juan Uribe is a great clubhouse presence & very good player. Alberto Callaspo is neither.

Burn.

Callaspo does seem to be the kind of guy who wouldn't be great in the clubhouse.

Yeah, but how are they going to feel when Uribe destroys the postgame spread? Harang and Laird are gone for a reason.

Callaspo is ass, and I appreciate this guy's point, but it is quite a flight of fancy to say that Uribe is "very good player."

I really don't get why we signed Callaspo to begin with. That dude hits women and not the baseball. **** him.

Didn't know about the domestic violence until you mentioned it. Yeah, get rid of him. Bad player, bad teammate, bad person. No redeeming qualities.

I didn't know about it when we signed him but others here pointed it out and it seemed old news even then. Of course it was still news to me as I didn't follow Callaspo that closely prior to the signing.
