ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL DAY

what are you talking about?

I did love when the guy on twitter said something to that effect, and the old, crotchety media thought it was serious and put it on the NEWS. always looking for something to be outraged about, especially when it comes to the "doomed" generation.

Just talked to Farrakhan, that's sensei, n***a
Told him I've been on ten since the 10th grade, n***a
Got a middle finger longer than Dikembe, my n***a

Are those supposed to be clever lyrics?

IMO, they're as clever as hip-hop gets.

your opinion is pretty objectively wrong, as hip-hop can be as well-written and intelligent as any music. you probably don't listen to much of it, and there are a lot of different songs made made to serve different purposes (like, you know, every genre). you hear stuff on the radio, which isn't typically the deeper stuff.

seriously, every single person i see that speaks ill of hip-hop is someone that knows nothing about it and doesn't understand it. it's easy to spit out lazy cliches, but there is a TON of talent in that industry.

the lyrics and overall points to this song are beautiful. but it's just dumb hip-hop LOL my music is wayyyy better.

no, this songs purpose isn't to be poetically brilliant. the music is really well made, it's meant to be a hype song more than anything. Ye has some pretty solid lines, flow is decent, but those that don't listen to and therefore don't understand hip-hop don't see the point, whereas those of us who appreciate it get it more.

I guess not everyone can write clever lyrics like Wu Tang:

Yo! Yo! Yo, **** that, look at all these crab niggaz laid back
Lampin like them gray and black Puma's on my man's rack
Codeine was forced in your drink
You had a Navy Green salamander fiend, bitches never heard you scream
You two-faces, scum of the slum, I got your whole body numb
Blowin like Shalamar in eighty-one
Sound convincin, thousand dollar court by convention
Hands, like Sonny Liston, get fly permission
Hold the **** up, I'll unfasten your wig, bad luck
I humiliate, separate the English from the Dutch
it's me, black nobled you Ali
Came in threes we like the Genovese, is that so?
Caesar needs the greens, it's Earth
Ninety-three million miles from the first
Rough turbulence, the waveburst, split the megahertz

Or Greg Olsen:
What’s your name?)
G-Reg
(What’d you do?)
Get head
(How you do it?)
Drop my drawers and let her see me third leg
(True)

Chillin' on the 7th flo'
I gotta let these chickens know
Big Greg is in the house
And I’m fi’n to make these hoes choke
On my balls, on my dick
Then I bust a nut quick
On her face, on her chest
Stick my dick between her breasts
Come on fellas lets get weird
Sick your dick up in her ear
While I’m laughin’ at these guys
I second nut all in her eyes
(Wait a minute, in her eyes?)
In her eyes

I'm a big hip hop fan and I like Kanye.

And I don't like this song much at all.
