Need to draft this kid
I wonder if his dad took him through the McDonald's drive thru after the game.
Or to the Cheetah 3
Is that the Gold Club?
Nah, I visited The Gold Club following Game 5 of the 1993 NLCS. Now that I think about it, he made an appearance there before we went back to our hotel! LOL
Wait, wait.. you and Andruw went back to your hotel after the Gold Club in 1993.. interesting..
Ah Andruw. I remember all the whining about how he never would adjust and wouldn't hit the ball to the opposite field, etc.
Age 19 -80 OPS+
Age 20- 93 OPS+
Age 21 116 OPS+
Age 22 114 OPS+
Age 23 126 OPS+
Age 24 94 OPS+
Age 25 127 OPS+
Age 26 117 OPS+
Age 27 112 OPS+
Age 28 136 OPS+
Age 29 126 OPS+
Age 30 87 OPS+
Its a shame he never figured out how to hit.
That guy was so good. Between his age 20 season and his age 30 season, Andruw hit 18, 31, 26, 36, 34, 35, 36, 29, 51, 41, and 26 home runs. Combine that with the possibility that he may have been the greatest defensive outfielder of all time.
Andruw is a HOFer. Period.
Probably my 2nd favorite player ever after Justice. Maybe 3rd after Griffey as well.

Sadly what plagues him is what plagued Murphy. If Andruws career was just done after age 30 due to injury he would of had a much better shot. Right or wrong the fast decline and lingering on does nothing but hurt him. But he played at a HOF level while with the Braves. There is no doubt about that.
Yeah, I get that, but he still should be in. IMO the greatest defensive player ever, at any position.
