Another Early Start - GDT 10/6/2013: ATL (Julio TEHERANOSAURUS!) @ LA (Ryu) Game 3

And if Fredi takes Teheran out earlier we would still be tied.

If Fredi takes out Teheran earlier, then Wood is guaranteed to pitch 3-4 innings probably in long relief (we know he won't use Hale unless it's necessary), taking him out of the equation tomorrow if Freddy gets into trouble. It also means Ayala is a given to pitch, maybe Walden too.

Here's another big difference in the series. Dodgers hit our pitchers mistakes (Crawford) and ours don't hit theirs( Jeyward)

I'm sorry guys but I don't put the blame soley on Fredi here.

Teheran was having some bad luck out there with Gattis not having any range at all, with Elliot forcing that throw and then getting squeezed on a few pitches.

I don't think he really wanted to burn the bullpen this early in the game.

One consideration was he probably was not counting on many innings from Garcia and was hoping to save Wood for tomorrow. But we're still in this game. Hopefully, Wood shuts them down over the next couple innings. If we're within a run come the seventh I like our chances.

I'm usually not like this but I think that's game... Dodgers recapture lead and come back with scoreless inning

I gotta be honest... Thought coming out with 2 early runs like we did was gonna be huge for Julio.... thought he was going to come out more relaxed than he would have otherwise been and have a good start.... Turned out not to be the case

SMH... It's just a shame.... Had a great season this year but I'd just like our franchise to reward these great seasons they have once in awhile... An hour of champagning each other towards the later part of September simply isn't doing it anymore

Then what was Hale's purpose? I thought Wood was supposed to be situational lefty since Downs didn't get in.

Kershaw or not, when your Game 1 starter goes 4 innings and gives up 5 (yeah bad defense and bad luck) and when your Game 3 starter gets spotted 2 runs and then proceeds to blow it twice after the team fights back to tie, you're not going to win the series.

Blame Fredi all you want, but if Medlen or Teheran pitch just a quality start, the series probably looks different.

Noooooo it must be Fredi's fault. He didn't tell them to pitch properly.
