Around Baseball 2015 Edition

no, I wasn't arguing.. and Cahill isn't old so there may be something.. I doubt it sticks but there is always a GM willing to take a chance for the right price. Cahill was horrible with the Dodgers minor league system, worse than he was with us.. But if he can find the sinker and make it effective by actually throwing strikes he can be a descent pitcher.. that just hasn't been the case the last two years... so I am going to go on that sample size as opposed to a few innings with the Cubs. more of what I was saying..

Didn't think you were arguing. Just interesting to see some of these September performances and if they translate. I'm guessing that Cahill is a non-roster invite for 2016 for someone.

AL West and 2nd AL Wild Card going down to the end. Houston may catch a break playing the D-Backs over the weekend while the Angels have four games against the Rangers. Twins lurk and have the already-in Royals at home over the weekend.

Tigers apparently lost 5.5 million in attendance due to their team sucking.

I don't even want to know the number for us.

We lost about 5k fans per game. Detroit lost about 3k fans per game. No one in the history of MLB has reached 5 million in attendance before so me thinks you is be ill informed.

This year in the NL is a good example of why the 3 divison format is a bad idea for baseball imo. 3 best teams in baseball are in one division and 2 have to play in a silly 1 game playoff. I know this doesn't happen every year but it happens enough to where teams in a stacked divison get screwed. While you have other division winners that likely won't get to 90 wins. And you also have situations like the NL East which is a joke of a division. Mets would be barely over .500 in the NL central. Two divisions with the division winners going to he playoffs and then the next 2 best teams as wild cards. Make schedules as even as possible.

/end rant for the day

Yeah, I haaaaaaaate the one-and-out format, but if they're gonna stick with it, they should match up the two worst records, not the WC teams.
