Reminds me of 2000 when we stumbled at the end of the regular season then got our asses kicked by the Cardinals. Could see that happening to the Mets.

Things are getting tight in the AL West and last wild card spot. Angels are beating the Rangers and the Astros are losing as well.
 
So Dusty Baker is one of just a few guys to get a 2nd round interview with the Nats. Id have to think Dr James Andrews is looking at medical office space in Washington right about now.

I agree. He had some nice seasons, but was never in the top five in the MVP voting (only top ten once). Counting stats just aren't there for a guy who played as long as he did, so no points for longevity. But a pretty good player who grew into a clubhouse leader. Kind of a Captain Flapjaw, but he played very hard and backed it up.
