Around Baseball 2015 Edition

My boy Gattis is not having a good time adjusting to the AL.

I don't want to think it but the Braves might have traded him at the perfect time.

Stras was hit around pretty good, and Desmond has looked pretty bad this year in the field from what I have read.

I could go for a repeat of 2013. At first it's "it's still early", then all of a sudden the Nats are 10 back in June and never recover from there.

Stras is an overrated pitcher. One of those guys that wow you but the overall picture never matches the ability. Give me Julio over him any day of the week. Now Zimmerman, he is a damn stud.

They had to trade him before his value was a sunk cost.

Evan Gattis went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts on Thursday against the Indians.
Gattis has now actually struck out in each of his last eight plate appearances, which is pretty hard to do. According to Baseball Reference, he's the only player since at least 1914 with two four-strikeout games within his team's first three games of a season. The strikeouts are a risk with him, but he's still capable of hitting 30 homers in that ballpark this season.

Would love to go after Jordan Zimmerman this winter, only 28, doesnt have a ton of innings on his arm compared to most.

Dont think it happens but the money is there.

JT doesn't have the ability of the top-echelon guys, but I feel like he gives us a chance to win no matter who is on the mound for the opposition. He is a tough SOB.

He reminds me of Bert Blyleven. Great stuff, but always seems to make a mistake or two that he pays for dearly (while other guys may get away with the same mistake) and seems to have this sad misfortune of not having runs scored for him. I don't think there is any questioning that his stuff is top drawer.

Was gonna post that, still easily the best in the game, i miss him :(

Me, too, but damn...we arguably got a better prospect out of that deal than we did in the Justin trade AND unloaded BJ. Pretty good trade.
