Around Baseball 2015 Edition

Not surprising to see Price ask for that much. But would be at least a little surprising to see him get it, considering it will be a buyers market. Also, Price is tremendously talented, but he honestly hasn't performed at an elite level in about 3 years. Not that's he's been bad, but just not elite.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching that happen on the Nats TV feed. Especially since one of their goober announcers took it upon himself yesterday to insult Votto's leadership. Watch the replay of Harper getting hit by a pitch, it's in there.

I should have done that for a little harm-joy, but I just can't stand the Washington announcers, and they were winning when I switched over, so I tuned the Reds announcers.

It's playing well but their park I'd also more condusive to that style and along with having a DH they can stick another good hitter in there.

Thom Brennahan (spelling?) is awful as well.

Chip maybe weird, but I'm glad we have him over some of the alternatives.

Not directed at me, but i wanna see what happens in the playoffs provided they dont completely fade out but LOT of ball games left obviously.

He wont get Scherzer money but he'll easily top what Lester got.

Most likely he'll get around 170-190 mil

The Rangers are calling up Joey Gallo, one of the top prospects in the minors. He's stepping in for Beltre, who is out for a couple weeks with a sprained thumb.
 
This has to be worst possible circumstance for a call-up if you are a minor-league pitcher. "Hey Ian, we're bringing you up . . . to be the 26th man for a double-header at Coors Field."
