deGrom is but Harvey isn't

Matt Harvey of 2 years ago, sure......not 2015 though. He probably gets back to that form but he's certainly not there this year.

Pitchers that have been better, in no order:

Kershaw
deGrom
Zack
Sale
Max
Kazmir
Dallas
Cueto
Garrit Cole
Price
Archer
Kluber
Arrietta
Gray
MadBum
Carrasco
Felix
Lynn
Zimm
Wacha
Lester

I would put Harvey ahead of Zimmermann, Lynn, Kazmir, and Carrasco, and about even with guys like Lester, Bumgarner, Carrasco, Keuchel, and maybe even Kluber and Cole.

And guys like Arrieta, Kluber, and Carrasco are especially tough to gauge because they were garbage not too long ago.

Right now, the only guys I would clearly take over Harvey are Kershaw, Sale, Greinke, deGrom, Hernandez, Cueto, Price, and Scherzer. Probably Gray and Archer as well. The rest, there's an argument on. And if Harvey can get back to where he was, then he passes several of those guys as well.

I'm not necessarily talking about performance this year, I'm just saying if I could choose between anyone, those are the only ones I'm definitely taking over Harvey.

I think it does when talking about a pitcher coming back from TJS. Odds are pretty good he becomes the pitcher he was but we won't know that until it he actually does it.

I know this is a joke, but he very well may be within a year or two. I think Schwarber is the best pure hitting prospect in baseball. I think among all players major and upper minor league, he and Harper have the highest ceilings simply as hitters. That guy is going to MASH.
