Around Baseball 2024 edition

I'm often wrong, but I feel pretty damn good. I think Atlanta rebounds well moving forward.

Me revisiting this comment in two weeks: "what an idiot!"

Atlanta's depth has been truly tested this year and probably the most during Snit's tenure. You'd think he would learn from this and seeing our lineups for the last month, that you need to rest your main guys ever so often. This will attract better bench options to come play for you instead of a Luke Williams, Zach Short, etc.

A tough couple weeks for the San Francisco Giants. Last week, Willie Mays passed away. Watching the Dodgers/Giants game on MLB Network (Giants broadcast being shown) and they just announced Orlando Cepeda has passed away.

Mets have a tough road trip coming up soon with a postponed game in St. Louis complicating travel.

With no off days, the Mets have to:
Travel from New York to Anaheim
Anaheim to St. Louis (1 game)
St. Louis to Colorado
Colorado to Seattle

They finally get an off day but have to travel from Seattle back to New York

And for those of you who have trouble reading, no, I’m not saying he’s the answer. I’m saying that he can be signed for the league minimum and actually be capable of producing for a short period of time until we find someone permanent. The guys we have now aren’t capable of that.
