Around Baseball 2024 edition

Merrifield actually has a history of decent hitting though.

he is more below average hitter tbh.. but better than the crap the Braves are trotting out right now. The Braves are not going to sign him however.. the optics of picking up trash from a team that is currently curb stomping them is not going to look good. plus no need to keep paying these league min salaries to gain marginal success... at some point you just have to figure a plan and execute it to hopefully fix it..

my solution is to offer twit a org job doing something that keeps him away from any decision making.. bringing up a trained monkey that can follow some basic rules and see where that takes us.

How come every time I look up the Phillies score they’re playing at home? Have they played any road games this year?

I'm glad they went with Skenes. It's a game for the fans and the fans largely want to see Skenes.

Promoting your young, exciting players is what All-Star games should be used for.

Plus I would rather Sale just not pitch at all.

The Athletic’s David O’Brien reported that Michael Harris II (hamstring) is “likely returning by early August.”
The 23-year-old was diagnosed with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain on June 15th and is still working his way through baseball activities. Given the length of his absence, he will likely require a rehab assignment as well, which means it might be at least three weeks before Harris returns to the Braves lineup, in the best-case scenario.

I think he was already pushing 250 which is why that Hammy gave way...

No discipline in the management with the players. Examples from the management and leadership should be the suggesions....no Winter ball, keep your weight down, suggesting 'no golf' during the season. Instead....management coddles them.
