I think Montgomery has been so pissed off at Boras that it probably distracted him. I know he was beefing about the late-signing and all of that. Curious to see what happens going forward. Someone may get a bargain, but he pitches like a mid-rotation guy and I can't believe the D-Backs thought he was some missing piece to the puzzle. Big problem for D-Backs was Rodriguez going down, but when compared to the tidal wave of injuries for the Braves, that was next to nothing.

Feels like someone could get him for 8-10m for his final season. Maybe less.

It's weird to root for the Mets, but I hope they beat the piss out of Philly. I'm talking about a sweep where Philly isn't close any game.

especially since Dickfred will ship the juiced balls to that series knowing the more powerful team will benefit. No way he wants to see KC or Detroit in the WS.. LA and NY will get the good balls for sure.

I have to begrudgingly give the Mets some credit. They've been grinding all season. Early in the year, I was thinking "this is the worst offense money can buy," but Lindor is really good and enough guys showed up in the second half and things came together. A real patchwork of players.
