People really having extreme short term memory about Freeman in the postseason before this run in the World Series is really something.

And this was exactly what I was dreading with Freeman winning a WS with the Dodgers. So, I can’t say I’m surprised.

I think you should check his numbers from the 2021 Braves' championship run. OPS > 1.0 in the two NL rounds and just below 1.0 in the World Series. Over 1.0 in the 2020 NLCS against the Dodgers. He's had some less-than-stellar lines in post-season series, but he's just under .900 OPS for his post-season career. That's been buoyed by the current series, but he hasn't been a post-season slouch.

Freeman was great his first postseason appearance in 2012. His next 5 pos-season series, he was 16-80 (.200 BA) with only 4 XBHs. So he developed a bit of a stigma for not showing up in the postseason. He also was terrible last year vs the Pads and all of this post-season up until the WS.

Overall, it's pretty unfair to judge someone based off a handful at bats in one series. But we do it anyways.

He was literally 0 for his last 30 in the playoffs before this year and was a huge reason they got bounced in the first round in 2022 and 2023. He started this NLDS poorly too. Dodger fans had turned on him. That’s what I’m talking about.

Good for Freddie. I feel no animosity towards him. Feels like he's hit the same pitch three times - Yankees might want to rethink their strategy if they wanna have a prayer in this series.

FF is on another planet right now. Everybody thought it would be Ohtani and Judge this series but it’s been all Freeman.

Damn that fan grabbed Betts glove and pried the ball out of it while the other fan grabbed his wrist lol

Imagine paying all that money to go to a WS game with the Yankees / Dodgers....and you get thrown out of the stadium before the 1st inning is over.
