Around Baseball

Just realized Dietrich was sent down despite hitting .246/.342/.431.

oh Marlins, never change.

Johan Santana's comeback is over before it began...tore his left achilles in extended spring training.

Did his career effectively end after the no no? I can't remember anything happening after that.

That Juan Francisco gentleman seems to be having an interesting year.

Still striking out a third of the time, but walking more and hitting the ball a long, long way with regularity. Still not hitting lefties, albeit without many opportunities. That 146 WRC+ looks tasty, though.

This is really sad. I wonder what a country boy like Brian thinks about living in NYC.

McCann .226, .286, .372, .657
E. Gattis .294, .346, .588, .934

Does this mean that playing baseball on a really high level is actually difficult???

Yep this is 100 percent true as it is with most professional athletes.
I think you're both about 80 percent wrong. I'd bet the history of of the Yankees and getting to play in that stadium means more to him than the extra money they were will to pay him.

Btw, he looks to have lost some weight and looks pretty good clean shaven and in pin stripes. Hit a triple and a HR today. Maybe he likes it up there.

Maybe we could trade BJ and Struggla for Brian back. The money has to be close to a wash.

So the prospects we trade to the D-Backs have ended up having excellent seasons. Ahmed might end up playing in the majors this year.

Also, Kershaw probably just pitched the most dominant game of all time.
