Around Baseball

Joey Gallo is a f'ing beast. If he can lay off bad pitches he'll be one of the top 5 players in mlb within 5 years.

.292/.382/.585 for El Juan Chubbard in Toronto. 5 HR and 24 Ks in 76 trips.

No ****? I wasn't even paying attention.

It's like a lot of guys. If he could just cut down on that swing a little, go to right once in a while, be more consistent....he'd be Jeff Francoeur and lose what he does well. Or, as is often posited around here, if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.

Toronto also makes mediocre hitters look really good. It's a great hitters park.

Francisco Rodriguez of the Brewers has 15 saves already and still hasn't given up an earned run. I'd love to see them in the playoffs just to repeatedly hear the phrase "beer makers" on Sportscenter.

Derek Norris has 6 rbi thru 2 innings vs Gio and the nats. Both homers on 3-0 counts. Their gamethread is full of Milwoods and atl717's right not. Its a lot more fun to see other teans fans overreact and throw their team under the bus.

Oakland has a great team. Fun to watch.

Sprained elbow ligament -- what Marlins say Jose Fernandez has -- means it is stretched or torn. TJ almost inevitable, either now or later.

Man oh man
