Around Baseball

Some Astros gm notes got released. Links on mlbtraderumors. Goes from early this year to mid 2013. Nothing braves related but some interesting behind the scenes look. Astros asked about Stanton and were told starting point was Springer and Correa. I wish this went back ti the Bourn trade.

What? You don't consider John Coppolella's call to the Astros to gauge their interest in Paul Janish a veritable blockbuster?

@JonHeymanCBS: surprising stat: since start of 2010, the braves' 417 wins are the most in MLB. and they've done it on $90-100M on budget.

Pretty awesome.

Not surprising to a few of us. This team is good and has won a lot of games. No reason that shouldn't continue into the future. Also of note I believe the A's are right there too at least since 2011. Another good team on a small budget.

Nats down 7-2 to the Cubbies right now.
Let's gain a game!
By the way, only watching because I get like 70%+ of Cubs' games on WGN.
