Andrew McCutchen has a fractured rib, not an oblique strain. If that happened when the Diamondbacks hit him with that pitch on Saturday, then I have lost a ton of respect for Kirk Gibson.

Hard to believe we are completely out of the playoff picture right now. 1.5 behind the second Wild Card. On pace for 84-85 wins.
In theory a cold streak like this is balanced out with a hot streak where everything goes right for us. I think the odds of getting to game 163 is still pretty good.

The Cubs have acquired Jacob Turner from the Marlins for two minor league pitchers. Also, they were not able to work out a deal for Cole Hamels and the Phillies pulled him back off waivers.
Watching South Korea and Japan right now in little league and it's amazing how disciplined both teams are and their baseball iq. It's like watching a pro game with little people.
