That's why I keep going back and forth on adding a SP, but his postseason experience is what you'd be paying for (IMO) - not really a "name" guy for me anymore. He's certainly not someone you expect anyone to overpay for these days, but what you're hoping for (as a contender) is that the old juices get flowing in a playoff start. You've seen him in those situations before - we really have no idea how Folty or Newk will handle that until they get one.

Not sure he's much of an upgrade to the current rotation during the regular season.
 
Sitting at the Aces game right now watching Tomas batting 7th in AAA and looking awful.

Remember how much we wanted him to sign with the Braves?

There were probably several contributing issues, and I wouldn't worry about the Braves missing out on the first BP arm to be traded this season. They will almost certainly make 1-2 additions within the next month, and hopefully AA is able to get good value.

There will probably be multiple excellent BP arms traded. I just can't see any going for as little in terms of talent sent back as Herrera. He was traded for two light hitting guys who at best are marginal backups and a lottery ticket.

The Hart/Coppy duo sure had a thing for those Cubans. Be it Tomas or HO they were bound to make a mistake with one of them.
 
The Nationals announced that they are building a new stadium in my hometown of Fredericksburg, Virginia for their High-A team. I'm extremely conflicted....but will be fun to have a minor league team here.

I think I'd like to see Allard get some MLB action so we can see data on his arsenal.

Maybe Fried has made progress on that sinker.
