Around the League: 2017 offseason edition / 2018 Season

Nats and cards face off starting tomorrow. Both teams are 5.5 games back and trail 2 teams. Huge series for both teams.

It really is unbelievable how this season has gone. The narrative at the start was that the Braves and Phillies would be better, but the Nats would dominate the division again and Philly/ATL could possibly squeak out a wild card if literally everything went right. Fast forward to August and the Nats are barely staying in wild card contention and the Phillies/Braves have the most interesting division battles in the league going on.

Those final 10 games are going to be absolutely insane. I just wish that we got that bookend series at home, but the plus side is the first series is at home and its a four gamer. Those will be the first regular season baseball games in a decade that will literally have me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Was never going to last an entire season. Dodgers just did enough to limit playing time to extend his run longer.

I mean he's useful. Start him for two months then DFA lol.

That would be hilarious if he only had a job as a season opener, and then got to kick back and eat powdered doughnuts until the next season started.

Dodgers should dl him till middle of September. Send him to a work out program, and hopefully (if you're a dodger), he comes back hot again for playoff push
