Around The Majors 2019

Greinke and Kluber make the most sense from a pitching standpoint. May be Rick Porcello, but probably less likely. From a hitting standpoint, the only 2 I think fit are probably Wil Myers or Buster Posey. Considering the Pads were in the running for both Machado and Harper, I think Myers is the logical conclusion here, since they would have needed to both clear payroll and move an OF to make Harper fit.

I think you solved it.

Wil Myers is the most likely answer.

RHH OFer is what this team needed after signing Markakis...and still needs.

How does Luke Jackson keep making the team?

It comes back to AA overvaluing team control. Same reason he keeps holding onto Duvall. With Jackson, people keep writing about how he's out of options -- as if anyone else would even be interested in him.

I still think we’ll be in the thick of things at the deadline and AA will have a ton of ammo to make a big trade to give the team a big boost.

If we're close enough at the break to make a run. The pitching staff worries me. I think there's a fair chance we don't see a healthy Folty or Gaus this year.

I may be a homer but I think that Wright and Fried make a big step forward in the rotation this year.

Goodness gracious at the Orioles. That lineup is some elite level tanking right there.

I'm surprised it wasn't Dwight Smith, Sr., given the rest of that line-up.

When I saw that R. Martin was playing shortstop, I was shocked thinking they finally got Bassmaster Roland Martin out of the boat.

Curious to see how Rio Ruiz does. The pressure is clearly off.

Young Gabe: The Braves' lead-off plan: Ender Inciarte vs. righties, Ozzie Albies vs. lefties. Snit confirmed today.

Jackson being on the team has nothing to do with Duvall. AA already released Jackson once last year before bringing him back. He's only on the team to start this year due to injuries.
