You're aware we can't find this out if he's pitching in Gwinnett's rotation, right?
 
It should be noted that almost every good reliever was at one point a starter. Most of the time they transition in the minors but sometimes they click in the majors.
 
It won't happen but I would love for them to try Touki at closer immediately. Gives everyone else a chance at relaxing a bit in lower leverage roles, and Touki should be absolutely filthy when he only has to pitch a single inning.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention (and considering that you clearly can't read, you probably weren't) I, and many others on this board, have been proponents of them moving some of the lesser starting pitching options to the bullpen because that's where they'll likely ultimately end up anyway. You probably won't grasp this concept, but using pieces to help fix the bullpen internally as much as possible is much smarter than spending a bunch of assets on external options. And, since you weren't paying attention, you probably also missed me voicing my belief that they should sign Kimbrel and should have signed at least one quality veteran arm in the offseason.

This is probably a waste of my time, because that paragraph is probably too many words for you to read. Unfortunately for you, I'm not going to add any racist remarks to make it easier for you to follow along.

In retrospect calling up Touki was a hint the team didn't expect Gausman to pitch past the third inning.

He got healthy. He was good in 2013. Hurt and injured for the next 3 years. And has pitched well since coming back from surgery. Good for him.

Per a team release, the Reds have released outfielder Matt Kemp, who’d been nursing a broken rib on the 10-Day IL.

Kemp, 34, was off to a dreadful .200/.210/.283 start in 62 plate appearances after an offensive rebound in 2018.
